I ran windows troubleshoot on both of them. It worked for Adobe, it works almost right now; but it didn’t work for Microsoft Office. I restarted the windows and now it wants to start the loading window opens then a small Microsoft window opens and wants to configure something and says: «Please wait while setup prepares the necessary files I tried to uninstall the whole office but the same error occurs and it can’t be unnistalled.

Then I tried to uninstall the whole office pack. The same error occurred. I was using Microsoft Office for the last 2 years. I didn’t even try to uninstall or change it when this problem occurred.

I was trying to uninstall some unused software like Maple, Lingo, etc. I don’t know what happened, but just after that Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader stopped working. I could fix the Adobe Reader by widows troubleshoot but it didn’t work for Microsoft Office. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Install, redeem, activate Microsoft and Office Search Community member.

I couldn’t solve the problem. I had tried Method 1 before, it didn’t work. Method 2 and 4 are for other situations I guess.

Hello, I bought a copy of Microsoft Office University Edition from my college’s bookstore the other day, and have not yet been able to activate it due to this error. After launching the Setup file from the disc, it asks me to enter the Product Key.

When I do enter the key, it validates it for a few moments before displaying a ‘Continue’ button. I am at a loss for solutions, as I’ve already tried Microsoft’s Fix It utility and made sure all previous installations of Microsoft Office were removed.

I even downloaded the digital version with the same Product Code from Microsoft’s site and I get the exact same error. I appreciate any help you’re able to provide, and will gladly tell you anything else you may need to know in order to solve this. Thanks again. This thread is locked.
